Excellent growing conditions in a wide variety of micro-climates, rich volcanic soil, fed by fresh spring mountain waters which nurture and support the Arabica coffee plants well growing at high altitudes in tropical mountains laced with rain forest cloud coverage which in return produce organic beans that carry the exquisite flavor.

“The process”

The processing method used on a coffee is usually the single largest contributor to the flavor of a coffee. All our coffee is handpicked by the farmers that grow this exceptional coffee. Then naturally sundried which is the only acceptable way to produce the best in the world. In this method the pulped and fermented coffee is spread thinly on raised beds, which allows the air to pass on all sides of the coffee. Then mixed by hand and the drying that

takes place is more uniform and fermentation is less likely. Our coffee process is all done by hand from start to finish. This however does limit us to the amount of James Antonio coffee we can produce in a season. Our 2011 estimation of product is about 80,000- 90,000 lbs. for worldwide distribution.
